At a cozy farm-to-table restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island, Kyla and Edgar enjoyed their scrumptious meal. Edgar was taken by the test tube center pieces, and Kyla had her eyes on the chocolate chip cookies for dessert...

Edgar then suggested they find a place to watch the sunset. Kyla was relieved: it was the perfect place for her plan. 

Against the warm backdrop of the stunning sunset, Kyla reached in her handbag and pulled out a Swarovski crystal studded USB memory stick (since he's a scientist who collects data) in a small box that looked like a ring box. 


Edgar thought it was his birthday present, but was soon left wondering why Kyla was attempting to read something off of her iPhone and crying. She quickly passed the phone to him at which point, he began reading his own proposal. 

He said "Yes!" and off they went to celebrate by playing skee ball at a nearby arcade!

P.S. Edgar was relieved to find out that Kyla was not trying to break up with him, but rather trying to propose to him!
